Lancaster, Pennsylvania (June 16, 2009) The County of Bucks, Pennsylvania has contracted geographIT® to implement mapJazz™, a web GIS solution that will enable the County to serve GIS data via their Intranet to departmental users. With mapJazz™, departmental users do not need to become GIS experts to be able to search for addresses, parcels, or place names, look up property records, or produce maps. Because mapJazz™ is a web viewer developed with ArcGIS Server 9.3 using the web application development framework (ADF), it does not require departmental users to install desktop GIS software, so system administration overhead is reduced. Many departments have been anxiously awaiting the opportunity to access and use the County's GIS data, said Mr. Robert Keough, GIS Coordinator for the County, and we look forward to making that happen as soon as mapJazz™ is installed.
