Lancaster, Pennsylvania (September 1, 2010) --The Department of Military and Veterans Affairs (DMVA) at Fort Indiantown Gap, Pennsylvania recently awarded a contract to geographIT^® to provide ArcGIS Server implementation and GIS technical support services. Project objectives include: 1.) implementing ESRI server technology to expand database access while implementing database user roles and permissions; 2.) migrating non-standard data into the Data Standards for Facilities, Infrastructure and Environment (SDSFIE) data framework which DMVA has adopted as a database standard; and 3.) making the GIS data accessible and usable to DMVA users via web-GIS. The DMVA purchased mapJazz™, geographIT's commercial web-GIS product, to accomplish the third objective. The contract includes one year of technical on-call support to assist in trouble-shooting the production database and web services environments.
