Lancaster, Pennsylvania (February 1, 2010) The City of Philadelphia Water Department has selected NTM Engineering, Inc. of Dillsburg Pennsylvania to provide engineering support for a stormwater plan of the Poquessing Creek watershed, a 21.5 square mile area spanning the borders of Bucks County, Montgomery County and the City of Philadelphia. As part of the project team, geographIT® will acquire, load and standardize existing GIS data available from the counties, Pennsylvania Spatial Data Access (PASDA), and the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission (DVRPC) and will design and produce a variety of presentation and report maps of the watershed for the Poquessing Creek Stormwater Plan. Geo-processing tools will be used to derive slope, permeable/impermeable surfaces, and soil characteristics of the watershed as inputs to stormwater runoff modeling software.
