2008 Preservation Pennsylvania "Initiative Award for Communication"
Preservation Pennsylvania, a private non-profit membership organization dedicated to the protection of historically and architecturally significant properties, awarded the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation Bureau of Design’s Project Keystone team the “Initiative Award for Communication” (http://www.preservationpa.org/programs/awards/index.php). Project Keystone (www.pastonearch.org) was recognized “for producing a user-friendly and publicly accessible management plan and maintenance manual for stone arch bridges within the PennDOT Engineering District 6-0 including the City of Philadelphia, Bucks County, Chester County, Delaware County and Montgomery County.” geographIT designed and implemented this user-friendly web GIS application to search and find stone arch bridge locations, then view photographs and reports about the bridges. Other members of Project Keystone included the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and Skelly and Loy, Inc.
2008 Inc 5,000 Award
geographIT was again named one of the top 5,000 fastest growing private companies in America by the Inc. 5000 Awards Committee. For 2008, geographIT ranked 4,716th. To receive this ranking, geographIT posted a 3 year average sales growth of 49.1%.
2008 PAMAP Innovative Application Award
Presented to geographIT for innovative use of PAMAP imagery and LiDAR by the PA Department of Conservation and Natural Resources. The award was in recognition for the Slope On Demand™ web service application that enables anyone with an Internet Browser to select a parcel or custom area and obtain a percent slope map and summary tabulation of percent slope categories within the area. The web service application was developed using published ArcGIS Server geo-processing services and Model Builder. 2008 Diversity Award
DiversityBusiness.com, the nation's leading multicultural internet site, recently named geographIT as one of the Top 100 diversity owned businesses in the state of Pennsylvania on the Div100's 8th annual listing. The companies listed on the Div100 represent Pennsylvania’s top multicultural earners. Div100 members are sought after by major corporations wishing to increase spending with diversity owned companies.
2007 Inc 5,000 Award
geographIT was named number 3,728 of the top 5,000 fastest growing private companies in America by the Inc. 5000 Awards Committee, part of Inc. magazine and Inc.com’s annual ranking of rapidly growing private companies chosen by screening and interviewing private business owners. According to Loren Feldman, Editor of Inc.com, being on the “...list signifies the expanding power of the entrepreneurial economy”, and recipients of this award represent “...the future of our country.”
2006 Thanks to the talent of Mohini Dirisina, Advanced Technology Solutions, Inc. won 1st place for “Best of Show” and 2nd place for “Best GIS Analysis” categories at the Harrisburg Area Community College GIS Day map design competition. Her map also won 3rd place for the “Best Software Integration” category at the ESRI User Conference Map Gallery.
2005 Website of the Week
Directions Magazine chose the Keystone Research website as Website of the Week. The magazine's editor notes that the Keystone Research Map (http://www.keystonereseasrchmap.org) is "...a really terrific application we thought you might like." Advanced Technology Solutions, Inc. developed the web application for Keystone Research.
2004 Sustainer Award by the Lancaster Newspapers Science & Engineering Fair, in partnership with the Newspaper in Education Program, presented its 2004 Sustainer Award to Advanced Technology Solutions, Inc. for its educational initiative to raise standards of scientific literacy for all students. ATS started sponsoring and judging in the annual Science & Engineering Fair in 1990.
2004 Wayne Gretzky Award
Mr. Ben Lewis received the Wayne Gretzky award for "Skating to Where the Puck Will Be" from the Emerging Technology Subcommittee, CIO Council, March 2004.
2004 Distinguished Service Award
The PAGIS Consortium recognized the distinguished service of Mr. Ashis Pal, President of Advanced Technology Solutions Inc. for his many continuous years of commitment to excellence at the 2004 Conference.
2003 Web Site of the Day Award by the Transportation Communications Newsletter. The innovative web application was developed using Open Source code for Project Keystone, a pilot program to preserve stone arch bridges. The web application can be visited at http://www.pastonearch.org/.
2001 Pennsylvania Award for Excellence
Awarded to Mr. Bruce Stauffer, Vice-President of Advanced Technology Solutions Inc. at the PA GIS Conference in Hershey, PA "for his visionary application of Geospatial Technology serving the citizens of Pennsylvania".
