Database Implementation

Data are the workhorse of any geospatial and IT system.  In most IT solutions, data are created as part of the normal work process such as completing on-line e-commerce orders, initiating work orders, or opening a new client contact.  By comparison, geospatial technology usually requires database implementation prior to applying the data to operations.

Fortunately, there are many sources of digital geospatial data already avaiable from federal, state, and local governments.  There are also commercial vendor sources to purchase data.  We are well informed about available public and private data sources that might "jump start" your project or system implementation.

If you need to acquire new accurate mapping for your project or implementation, we can help you by developing technical specifications for aerial photography and base mapping, and then perform Quality Control/Quality Assurance (QA/QC) to ensure the specifciations are met.

If you already have data in Computer Aided Design and Drafting format (CADD), address lists, GPS files, or paper map format, we can convert your data so that it becomes a data asset in your GIS environment.

geographIT can help you every step of your database implementation needs.  Contact us to find out more.
